Community
Leslie has built Yoga Journey around a deep love of community. With the energy of this thriving yoga community we raise the vibration of the world around us and provide uplifting support to others who are in need. Yoga Journey is a regular sponsor for numerous local charities and fundraisers including: S.O.S. Children’s Village, The Boca Raton Community Garden, Best Foot Forward Foundation, STEP, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, Connection Coalition, Connected Warriors, Kindness Matters, MS Society, Y12SR and many more. We truly believe that if we share the gift of yoga, people will take this wonderful practice off the mat and into their everyday lives…feeling better, doing better, and giving back to the many worthy causes that touch their own hearts. This is one of the most important parts of what we do…It really does take a village and by sharing this practice, Yoga Journey, helps make that village as strong as it can be. That Is truly what Yoga Journey is all about!!!
Here are a few of the programs we host and organizations we believe in.
Yoga in the Park - Saturday’s 9am at Sanborn Square
Yoga in the park is a place of building community - for the past 8 years Leslie has committed to offering this community based class every week. 200-300 people come together each Saturday morning at 9am to move, breathe and connect. Join her live in person at Sanborn Square in Boca Raton, flow with us live on Facebook from wherever you are or Leslie offers the recorded class (along with a library of MANY classes) on her YouTube channel: Leslie Glickman Yoga
This is a Donation based class - if you would like to contribute to your Yoga Teacher Training Scholarship fund, you can register for the park class and leave a donation HERE.
Y12SR – Yoga for 12 Step Recovery
Y12SR “connects the dots” between the ancient wisdom of yoga, the practical tools of 12-step programs, and the latest research on trauma healing and neurobiology. As part of a holistic recovery program, it works in tandem with traditional treatment to address the physical, mental and spiritual disease of addiction. The program serves people recovering from all manifestations of addiction, from behavioral addictions to substance abuse – creating a safe place on the mat where trauma can be released. It also supports those who are impacted by a loved one’s addiction. Their community programming is available via Zoom so you can join a meeting from anywhere. Y12SR is also offered as an adjunctive therapy in a growing number of addiction recovery treatment centers. Find a meeting: Online or in your Community
