Yoga Journey is a training facility with the highest quality standards. Our owner, Leslie Glickman is an ERYT 500 and has been teaching since 1995. The studio is a RYS 200 and +300 level training school and offers both vinyasa & yin yoga teacher trainings. Leslie has trained and mentored over 200 teachers at both the 200 Hour and 500 Hour level in South Florida and internationally. Beyond the teacher training Leslie hosts specialty workshops to elevate the level of education for the teachers. These Continuing Education Workshops and Trainings are often hosted at Yoga Journey however, Leslie often travels as a guest teacher to share these programs with other communities.

Yoga has been handed down verbally from teacher “guru” to students for thousands of years. Although today we have formal teacher training programs we still believe in the tradition of mentoring. You must find a teacher that you want to emulate. The key is to discover a course that connects with your intention.

Leslie is the lead teacher for all of the training programming, she has been teaching yoga since 1995 and her greatest honor is to share it! She believes that yoga is a science and an art and it is her goal to have you fall so in love with yoga that it overflows into every aspect of your life. This overflow will inspire you to teach or simply enrich your practice, your life and the lives of the people you love.

During the training she often partners with a senior teacher at our studio to assist her in the program and the members of the Yoga Journey team actively participate to support the trainees.

In these programs we explore the energetic and emotional journey of yoga. You will learn Anatomy / Physiology as it pertains to each practice, intelligent sequencing, asana, alignment, and the chakras will be studied in depth. Philosophy, Traditions, Lifestyle and Ethics of yoga will also be addressed. This experience is life changing and the knowledge you take with you can be applied on and off the mat.

200 hour Training

300+ Mentoring

CEU’s

Our 200 Hour Yin and our 200 Hour Vinyasa programs run for four months. The training material is extensive, and we believe in extending the training to give you time to practice and absorb what you learn. During this training we meet one evening a week, and one weekend per month for each of the four months (a Friday evening and all-day Saturday & Sunday). The curriculum requires you to attend at least two classes per week in addition to self-study time. We incorporate class observations – an important part of your training.

After the 200 Hour Program, Leslie offers a short term mentoring program for 10 weeks for teachers that want to continue to study on a one on one basis. It is tailored to the specific needs of the trainee. Leslie loves to coach and mentor new teachers as well as seasoned teachers so they can continue to grow in their teaching skills and cultivate more knowledge, experience and confidence.

The +300 Hour Training and Mentoring Program is extended over 6 months and in this program you work with a group as well as one-on-one with Leslie to receive a 500 Hour Certification. In order to enroll in this program you must have completed a 200 Hour Training and ideally be out in the world teaching.
