“To think through the mind of Chinese medicine, to see through its eyes, is in itself a healing process.” – Beinfield & Korngold
It has been nearly a decade since Caroline left South Florida in 2017 to head to Maine, and she could not be more excited to reunite with this community. This program is designed for students and teachers alike, you can expect a weekend of heartfelt connection, decadent self-care, and reflective inquiry.

Like yoga, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) is a science of life and a healing art that stretches back to the dawn of time. Even more than its needles and herbs, what makes Chinese medicine unique is its exquisite understanding of the cyclical patterns of nature and the way these energies manifest within human life. From the perspective of TCM, each person is a cosmos in miniature, suffused with the same forces that motivate the universe. Health is a question of finding balance among the forces of nature inside of us – the five quintessential expressions of energy represented by the emblems Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water.
Our perception of the world influences how we live in it. Traditional Chinese medicine offers us a different way of understanding our relationship to our own health, to each other, and to the world. You will walk away with a treasure chest of novel practices and perspectives to nourish and inspire you for months to come.
Join Caroline for this journey of self-discovery using the framework of the Five Elements as a map to explore your internal landscape. Each session weaves together movement, myofascial release, acupressure, breathwork, yoga nidra, self-reflection, and discussion.
““What attracted me most to Caroline’s classes is her complete transparency and sincerity. Her classes feel so completely raw in the most beautiful way that I don’t even know how to explain.”

Each session brings its own unique presence and they build upon one another in a beautiful way.
FRIDAY 5:30-8 P.M. WOOD: THE FREE AND EASY WANDERER
This fluid, feel-good session incorporates a rich smorgasbord of techniques designed to gently dissolve areas of energetic stagnation. Expect a generous dose of side-body opening, hip-openers, and twists to restore fluidity to the pelvis and spine. We will use targeted myofascial release to clear the grip of tension in the places we tend to hold it most, alongside acupressure to enliven circulation. Explore lateral rib breathing to cool an overheated mind, soft, sighing "shoo" breathing to vent stress, and a potent combination of anuloma viloma and sitali to refresh your senses. We will conclude with a deeply rejuvenating yoga nidra, using nature imagery and an extended body scan to promote a free and easygoing feeling inside.
SATURDAY 1-3:30 P.M.
FIRE: UNCOMPLICATED JOY
This heartwarming and uplifting session is dedicated to the heart space, inviting you to connect with the sheer delight of being alive. We will use targeted myofascial release to melt away tension from the upper body, arms, and hands. Expect a generous dose of accessible heart openers and juicy shoulder stretches to lift your spirits and create an expansive feeling inside. Explore soft, sighing "haaaaa" breathing to clear lingering emotion, pratiloma ujjayi to balance the nervous system, and a potent sequence of face and head acupressure points to calm and clear the mind. We will conclude with an uplifting yoga nidra, using a heart-centered visualization to awaken a sense of lighthearted, uncomplicated joy inside.
SATURDAY 4-6:30 P.M. EARTH: TRANQUILITY AT CENTER
This deeply grounding session is all about self-care, inviting you to find a quiet anchor amidst the constant motion of everyday life. Expect a gorgeous sequence of low-tothe-ground, fluid, circular movements to liberate circulation in your hips and spine. We will use the soft, squishy, forgiving "hugs" of two Coregeous balls to work gently into the abdomen, side waist, and lower back. Enjoy a star-studded sequence of acupressure points and calming pranayama combos to offer profound regeneration from the inside out. We will conclude with a gratitude-based yoga nidra, inviting you to extract nourishment from your recent life experiences and connect to a feeling of peace and plenty inside.
SUNDAY 1-3:30 P.M. METAL: EMBRACING IMPERMANENCE
Of all the elements, Metal is Caroline’s favorite to teach. It is no surprise that the element which is figuratively the most enduring within us is the very same element that allows us to intimately contact what is most ephemeral. The capacity of our spirit to be lifted by things without needing to possess them is one of Metal’s many precious gifts. Think of this session as an energetic clearing, inviting you to release what is no longer needed so that you can make room for a greater sense of awe and mystery as you head into this year’s holiday season. Enjoy acupressure tapping, somatic movement, crowd-pleasing pranayama favorites, heart openers, and an interoceptive yoga nidra to leave you feeling as if you’ve been freshly polished inside.
SUNDAY 4-6 P.M.
WATER: RESERVOIR OF VITALITY
In Chinese Medicine, Water is considered the most yin of the elements and uniquely precious in that it nourishes all the others. The water element is associated with our wisdom, vitality, and resilience. Turn to this final, loving practice to replenish your reserves at the deepest level. In this session, we will use two Coregeous balls in creative ways to connect to the fluidity within us and to create a soothing sensation of floating in space. Enjoy targeted acupressure along the back shu points to guide you into meditative stillness, offering effortless renewal to every part of the body. We will explore calming breathwork, including the soft “choo” breath, to help you gently shift from outputting energy to pure receiving. The weekend culminates in a luxurious, extended yoga nidra with a generous dose of silence to allow this profound journey to reverberate through every cell of your being.
