Living the 8 Limbs and Yoga Philosophy
March 9 & 10 | 1-7pm both days

This 2 Day workshop with Leslie Glickman (YACEP) is intended for those who wish to consciously take their yoga off the mat and make it a way of life; for teachers and students alike. Pantajali’s 8 limbed path reveals the full spectrum of yoga. We will break down and discuss these teachings as they pertain to the practice and to our everyday living.

Yoga is a gift and it allows us the opportunity to experience ourselves as a whole, not just physically but mentally, emotionally, and spiritually as well. This workshop will deepen your understanding of yogic philosophy as the foundation of this ancient practice. The 8 Limbs will be broken down individually in discussion and experienced in a practical and holistic way throughout the weekend.

You will leave the workshop able to integrate the teachings into your classes, your practice, and your life. As a yoga teacher or a student with a dedicated practice, an understanding of the 8 Limbs is essential.

Come and open yourself to the opportunity to “Be Your Yoga” in every way. 10 CEU hours will be earned for teachers. Weekend will include asana practice, meditation, breathwork, lecture, discussion and journaling.

Chakras the Subtle Energy Centers and Trauma
April 13 & 14 | 1-7pm both days

Explore the practice with a new language that will help you expose the deeper issues stored in our tissues. We will spend the weekend in deep discussion and then process with movements specifically designed to move and transform the energy that lies beneath the surface. In this weekend we will delve  into energy anatomy of the body and hopefully gain a better understanding of ourselves and others.  Some refer to this as the psychology of yoga.  As we make connections between our emotions and our physical body, we can gain insight about our overall health and wellbeing. On Sunday afternoon we will talk about trauma and how we can use yoga and breathing to re-regulate our nervous system.

Yoga Anatomy and the Breath
May 4 & 5 | 1-7pm each day

This 2 part workshop is broken down into two days of content. On day 1 we learn The Basics of Yoga Anatomy. This includes bones, muscles, connective tissue, directional term, planes of the body, and how this language is relevant to the yoga poses. A better understanding of the body can help anyone that practices yoga regularly. You will receive handouts to take home and continue your studies, as there is just too much information here to cover in one day.

On day 2 we review the 12 systems of the body and how they are affected by the breath. The day continues with a discussion about common ailments and injuries and how we can use yoga to care for and help heal our bodies. Content will also be available to take home for continued study after the weekend.
